Itential Cloud is a deployment model where Itential hosts and manages Itential Platform and its dependencies in the cloud. You maintain Itential Automation Gateway (IAG) in your environment while Itential handles platform operations, upgrades, and support.

What Itential manages

Itential hosts and operates:

  • Platform servers: All platform application servers
  • Database infrastructure: MongoDB and Redis clusters
  • Platform upgrades: Version updates and patches
  • Monitoring and logging: System health and performance monitoring
  • Data management: Job data pruning and retention
  • Infrastructure scaling: Capacity planning and scaling

What you manage

You maintain in your environment:

  • Automation Gateway (IAG): Deployed in your network
  • Network connectivity: VPN tunnel to Itential Cloud
  • Adapter configuration: Service accounts and credentials
  • Network devices: Infrastructure being automated
  • User access: User accounts and permissions
