Release notes overview

This section contains release notes for Itential Platform 6. Each release page lists the bug fixes, improvements, and security updates included in that version.

Release types

Itential Platform uses semantic versioning in the format MAJOR.MINOR.MTCE:

  • Major releases introduce breaking changes or significant architectural updates that may require action before upgrading.
  • Minor releases introduce new capabilities and enhancements. They increment the minor version number (for example, 6.0.0 → 6.1.0 → 6.2.0).
  • Maintenance releases deliver bug fixes and security patches. They increment the patch version number (for example, 6.0.0 → 6.0.1 → 6.0.2).
