Platform 6.6.0 feature announcement

Platform 6.6 introduces Event Auditing, an audit trail that records actions taken across Itential Platform by both users and FlowAI agents. This release also adds Markdown formatting in the Agent Builder prompt editor and OpenTelemetry export of web server logs to Grafana.

For a complete list of features, enhancements, and bug fixes, see the Platform 6.6.0 changelog.

Event auditing

Event auditing records actions taken in Itential Platform in an immutable audit trail. Each record captures who performed the action, what they changed, and when the change happened. For example, you can see who modified a workflow or updated a permission.

Actions that FlowAI agents take are recorded in the same audit trail as actions that users take. The same governance applies to every change, whether a person or an agent made it. Compliance and security teams can use the audit trail as evidence for audits and security reviews.

  • Audit trail: Records who performed each action, what they changed, and when.
  • Agent actions: Captures FlowAI agent actions in the same audit trail as user actions.
  • Compliance evidence: Provides the records that compliance and security teams need to produce during audits.

For details, see View audit logs.

Markdown formatting in Agent Builder prompts

Agent Builder now renders Markdown formatting in the prompt editor. Headers, bulleted lists, numbered lists, and other Markdown formatting display as you write, not only in the read-only view. You can review the structure of a prompt while you edit it.

OpenTelemetry export of web server logs

Platform can now send web server logs to Grafana using OpenTelemetry. Because OpenTelemetry is an open standard, you can route Platform web server logs into the monitoring tools you already use and view them alongside data from the rest of your environment.

For details, see OpenTelemetry metrics.
