Navigate to Itential Platform.

2

Select Gateway Manager from the Administration collection in the left-side navigation menu.

3

Navigate to the Gateways tab in Gateway Manager.

4

From the list of gateway clusters, select the gateway where you want to manage service groups.

5

Navigate to the Service Groups tab on the gateway cluster details page.

For more information, see View gateway cluster details.

Edit service groups

From the Service groups tab, you can update the service group’s name and description, modify which user authorization groups are delegated access from this service group, and add or remove services associated with the group.

From the Service Groups tab on the gateway cluster details page:

1

Select the service group you want to modify from the list of service groups.

2

From the service group’s details dropdown, make your edits and click Save.

2

From the service group’s details dropdown, click Delete.

Troubleshoot common access issues

”I can’t see a service I need”

  • Verify that you’re a member of a user group assigned to a service group containing that service
  • Check with your administrator about proper group assignments

”I can see a service but can’t run it”

  • Ensure your user group has the service:run role in addition to service group access
  • Contact your administrator to request the necessary execution permissions

”Services aren’t appearing in workflows”

  • Confirm that you assign the services to service groups accessible to your user account
  • Verify that service group permissions are properly configured
