Update a pre-built

The Itential Open Source Pre-Builts repository is no longer actively maintained. Those pre-builts have been certified up to Platform 2023.2, but can still be imported to Platform 6. We recommend transitioning to Projects for the best experience.

To update a pre-built:

Open Admin Essentials

Open Admin Essentials from the Home page or the Applications menu.

Navigate to the pre-built

Select the Pre-builts dropdown in the sidebar, then click the appropriate pre-built repository (for example, @itentialopensource) in the sidebar. A list of installed pre-builts will display.

Identify available updates

If a pre-built is available for an update, an orange dot will appear next to the pre-built name. Click the pre-built that is available for an update.

Apply the update

Click Update. A confirmation dialog will appear indicating the actions you are about to take.
