The following breaking change applies to Automation Catalog in the 2023.1 feature release.
Automation Catalog Removed (2023.1)
All app-automation_catalog functionality is removed in IAP 2023.1, including any Automation Catalog items or elements that are part of importing pre-builts. The application UI will remain available in "read-only" mode for a limited time for users to view and search the Automation Catalog collection. An in-app notification bar will also display on the top announcing that user access to Automation Catalog is "read-only".
The read-only controls in the app-automation_catalog UI means that:
- Users will have viewing access only.
- Users cannot create, edit, or import any Automation Catalog automations.
- Users will have to manually select the Automation Catalog automations they want to migrate (export) to Operations Manager.
- Users must use Operations Manager from now on.
⚠ All app-automation_catalog APIs were deprecated in 2021.1 and moved to app-operations_manager. A list of equivalent APIs in Operations Manager (OM) are presented on this page.

What should I do?
Review any custom apps and adapters that referenced any Automation Catalog APIs and verify they are changed to the OM replacement call.
If upgrading to IAP 2023.1, you will need to select the automations in Automation Catalog you want to migrate and export them to Operations Manager (see section below). Automation export can be performed before or after upgrading IAP.
If installing IAP for the first time (beginning at 2023.1), no additional action is required.
