Configuring an IAP Instance

This article will provide information on how to configure an IAP instance using the Itential Automation Services app within the ServiceNow platform.
How to Configure
- Click the All tab at the top lefthand corner, click the Itential drop-down menu, and then select the IAP Instances Config option.

2. Click the Instance you want to configure or click the New icon at the top righthand corner of the page to configure a new instance.

- Type in the Name, Hostname in the their respective fields.
- Add the Authentication Information that is appropriate for your instance of Itential.
You should only provide information for one type of authentication.
API Key = Token;
Username and Password to get a token;
OAuth 2.0 which uses a client_id and client_secret to get a token.
- Search for the role(s) that is associated with the IAP instance in the Roles field.

If you require a MID Server to communicate from ServiceNow to your instance of Itential then configure both the MID Server name (utilized by the Itential GUI) and the MID Server reference which is utilized by the Itential Actions.

Click Submit to finish.

Verify the IAP Instance
How to verify if your IAP instance has been added to the ServiceNow application.
- Click the All tab at the top lefthand corner, click the Itential drop-down menu, and then select Itential Automation Services.

Click the Instances drop-down menu at the top right of the screen and scroll to view your instance.

If you have configured your instance of Itential properly, you should now see Automations in the Choose Automation drop-down menu.
