Accessing Job and Task Details
- Click on any job or task row in the main table
- The details page opens with comprehensive information
- Breadcrumb navigation shows your position in the job hierarchy
Overview Tab
The Overview tab contains essential job information:
First Row
- Status: Current job status with visual indicator
- Job ID: Unique identifier (links to Operations Manager)
- Workflow Name: Name of the executed workflow (links to Studio)
Second Row
- Elapsed Time: Total execution time including milliseconds
- Start Time: Execution start time with milliseconds
- End Time: Completion time with milliseconds (if applicable)
Third Row (Tasks Only)
- Task Summary: Brief description of task purpose
- Task Description: Detailed explanation of task function
- Task Application: Application context for the task
Details Tab
The Details tab provides additional information:
- Project Name: Project containing the workflow
- Type: Identifies whether you’re viewing a root job, child job, or task
Child Jobs and Tasks Tab
This tab displays all direct children of the job you are currently viewing:
- Same table format as the main page
- Filtered to show only direct child jobs and tasks
- Clickable rows to navigate deeper into the hierarchy
- Maintains all filtering and sorting capabilities
Variables Tab
Note
You must be assigned the jobs:view-detail
role to view job variables. For more information, see Access Control in Job Viewer.
- Tab title: "Variables"
- Two sections: Incoming and Outgoing
- JSON format: Pretty-printed for readability
- Download capability: Click download icon next to each section
Variable Data Handling
Large Data Sets
- Preview limit: Data exceeding 500 KB displays the following message
- Message: "Data exceeds preview limit of 500 KB, download to view."
- Download: Still available for large datasets
No Data Available
- Download icon: Disabled but visible
- Message: "No [incoming/outgoing] data."
Task Details
The Task detail page provide comprehensive information:
Task Overview
- Status information: Current task state
- Timing details: Start time, end time, elapsed time
- Task specifics: Name, summary, description, application
Task Variables
- Input section: Data provided to the task
- Output section: Results produced by the task
*** Download capability**: Save variable data for analysis
Integration Links
- Operations Manager: Link to take action on the task
- Studio: Link to view or edit the parent workflow
Finding Jobs and Tasks Requiring Action
Use the quick filters to quickly identify tasks that need attention:
- From the main table, select the Running Manual Tasks or Errored Jobs quick filter
- View filtered results showing only tasks requiring user intervention
- Click on task rows to see detailed information
- Use Operations Manager link to take action on tasks
