Getting IAG5

Itential Automation Gateway 5 (IAG5) is used by customers to provide an organization and execution environment for their Ansible, Python, and OpenTofu automation scripts. Itential Automation Service connects to IAG5 to discover automation scripts and make them available to users logged into Itential Cloud.

To get IAG5, your organization must be subscribed to Automation Services.

If your organization is subscribed to Itential Automation Service, you can get IAG5 by performing these steps:

  1. Log into your organization's Itential Cloud account. See Logging Into Your Account.
  2. Select Administration → Downloads from the left-hand navigation panel.
  3. Select and download the version of IAG5 that is appropriate for your OS and CPU architecture.

IAG5 packages are available in a number of different deployment options:

  • Linux and MacOS binaries packaged as tar.gz
  • Linux RPMs
  • Container images

All IAG5 packages begin with iagctl-

If you do not see any IAG5 packages listed, you may not have a current license for Itential Automation Service.
