Installing Pre-Builts Manually

How to Manually Install Pre-Builts
To install Itential Pre-builts manually when your Internet connection is down and not available:

Navigate to the Itential Pre-builts web page at https://www.itential.com/pre-built-collection/ and click the GitLab icon to be redirected to where the pre-built is located.

From the pre-built (e.g., https://gitlab.com/itentialopensource/pre-built-automations/ansible-port-turn-up), click
artifact.json

Click the Download icon to save the file to your local drive.

Navigate to Admin Essentials within IAP and click the import icon in the top toolbar to open the Import dialog.

Select "Pre-built" in the dropdown list to open the Import modal.

Select "click to browse" and navigate to the
artifact.json
file saved to your local drive.Figure 6: Browse File System

Select the
artifact.json
file you downloaded. A preview of the ReadMe file for the pre-built will display.Note: There may be additional dependencies that are required. The Readme file for the pre-built will explain if there are additional prerequisites or requirements for the install.

Click the Import button to install the pre-built and its associated artifacts. Once the pre-built is installed, it will be loaded into IAP.

Troubleshooting
If IAP determines that a dependency is not installed you will see a warning banner and most likely will not be allowed to install the pre-built until the prerequisite is satisfied.

If you experience any issues with an Itential Pre-built, please contact the Pre-builts Team by opening a service desk ticket via the Customer Portal.
