Delete Exported Workflows in IAP 2023.1.0
This release alert is to an exception situation with exported workflows in the 2023.1.0 feature release of Itential Automation Platform (IAP).
Problem Explanation
Exported workflows created in 2023.1.0 have an unintentional breaking change from previous versions. The encoding mechanism improperly acted upon select parts of the exported workflow, thereby impacting (changing) how data is sent from one instance to another.
The root cause of the error has since been corrected; however, all exports from 2023.1.0 are invalid and will not import into the 2023.1.1+ release version.
Note: Exports from previous versions of IAP are not affected.
What should I do?
- If you exported any workflows in the 2023.1.0 feature release you will need to delete those workflows and re-export them after applying the 2023.1.1 maintenance release. We apologize for any inconvenience.
- If you have not yet exported any workflows from 2023.1.0, please proceed normally after the latest maintenance release (i.e., 2023.1.1) is made available.
