# Deprecations

> Index of all deprecations introduced in Platform 6 and Platform 6.1.

This page lists all features and APIs deprecated in the Platform 6 release series. Deprecated items may still function but are scheduled for removal in a future release unless otherwise noted. Items marked as **Removed** are no longer available.

Use `updateGoldenConfigTreeVersion` instead.                                                                                    |
| 6.0     | [ENC encryption (global key)](/itential-platform/release-notes/deprecations/enc-encryption)                                            | Replaced              | The legacy `$ENC` global encryption key has been replaced with a server-specific custom encryption key. Existing encrypted strings require migration before upgrading.      |

The `switchActiveProfile` API and UI-based profile switching have been removed. |
