# Update service group

PATCH http://localhost:3000/gateway_manager/v1/service-groups/{id}

Updates information about a specific service group.

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (basic auth, required) — Basic authentication of the form `Basic <base64(username:password)>`.

## Request

### Path parameters

- `id` (string, required) — The Id of the service group to update

### Body (application/json)

This endpoint expects an object.

- `patches` (object, optional)
  - `name` (string, optional) — Updated name for the service group (must be non-empty string, unique to gateway)
  - `description` (string, optional) — Updated description for the service group
  - `services` (list of string, optional) — Updated list of service Ids in the service group (must exist and match gateway's cluster_id)
  - `groups` (list of string, optional) — Updated list of group names allowed to access the service group (group names must exist)
