# Get the authorization data for the logged in user

GET http://localhost:3000/whoami

Returns the authorization data for the logged in user.

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (basic auth, required) — Basic authentication of the form `Basic <base64(username:password)>`.

## Request

### Query parameters

- `roles` (enum, optional) — roles
  - Allowed values: `names`, `ids`

## Response

Authorization data for a user

- `id` (string, optional) — String representation of a MongoDB ObjectId
- `provenance` (string, optional) — The name of the AAA adapter from which the user logged in
- `username` (string, optional) — The username of the logged in user
- `firstname` (string, optional) — The first name of the logged in user
- `groups` (list of object, optional) — An array of groups which contain the logged in user
  - `id` (string, optional) — String representation of a MongoDB ObjectId
  - `provenance` (string, optional) — The name of the AAA adapter which contains the group
  - `name` (string, optional) — The name of the group
- `roles` (list of string, optional) — Array of roles user has access to
- `roleNames` (list of string, optional) — Array of role names that user has access to
- `routes` (list of string, optional) — Array of routes logged in user has access to
- `methods` (map from string to list of string, optional) — Map of service names and method names which the user has access to
