The [Itential Open Source Pre-Builts repository](https://gitlab.com/itentialopensource/pre-built-automations) is no longer actively maintained. Those pre-builts have been certified up to Platform 2023.2, but can still be imported to Platform 6. We recommend transitioning to [Projects](/itential-platform/studio/projects/overview) for the best experience. In Itential Platform, **pre-builts** refer to pre-developed automations that can be used as-is to perform common tasks such as upgrading, configuring, or checking the health and connectivity of network devices. These pre-builts are designed to save time and reduce the risk of technical debt. They are developed, tested, updated, maintained, and supported by Itential. Access pre-built assets from the [Itential Automation MarketPlace](https://www.itential.com/automation-marketplace/) ## Pre-built component types **Prebuilts** allow developers to accelerate execution of network automation use cases within Itential Platform. More specifically, pre-builts combine the abilities of multiple components that live within Itential Platform. A pre-built can be composed of the following component types: * Automation Catalog * Automations (Operations Manager) * Form * JSON Forms * Command Template (MOP) * Analytic Template (MOP) * Service Catalog * Template * Transformation * Triggers (Operations Manager) * Workflow ## Terminology | **Term** | **Description** | | :--------- | :----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Prebuilt | A prebuilt automation uses other Itential Platform components to execute a certain network use case. | | Component | A component is a building block of a prebuilt. Each component helps serve as a tool in a network automation use case. | | Dependency | An Itential Platform dependency is an application or adapter that's required by the pre-built to be present in the current Itential Platform environment for the pre-built to function properly. | > Overview of pre-built automations in Itential Platform, with links to guides covering installation, downloading, importing, and configuring pre-built automation repositories.
