The [Itential Open Source Pre-Builts repository](https://gitlab.com/itentialopensource/pre-built-automations) is no longer actively maintained. Those pre-builts have been certified up to Platform 2023.2, but can still be imported to Platform 6. We recommend transitioning to [Projects](/itential-platform/studio/projects/overview) for the best experience. Before installing a pre-built from the catalog, verify that a pre-built repository is connected in Admin Essentials: * **Platform 6 (on-premises):** the Pre-Builts Catalog must be connected to a Git repository before it will show any pre-builts to browse or install. See [Use pre-builts in Platform 6](/itential-platform/admin-essentials/pre-builts/use-pre-builts) to configure the connection. * **Platform 2023.2 and earlier:** the `@itentialopensource` repository is connected by default on startup, so no additional setup is required unless you want to connect a different repository. Once a repository is connected, open **Admin Essentials**, select **Pre-Builts** in the sidebar, click **Browse**, then select a pre-built and click **Install**. If the pre-built contains components that already exist on your system, you'll be prompted to overwrite that content or cancel without overwriting. For the complete Platform 6 walkthrough, including searching the catalog and reviewing a pre-built's details before installing, see [Use pre-builts](/itential-platform/admin-essentials/pre-builts/use-pre-builts). If you're installing your first pre-built, you'll also need to activate the Itential pre-builts group: #### Navigate to Groups After installing the pre-built, go to **Authorization** → **Groups**. #### View inactive groups Click **View List**, then select **Show Inactive**. The **Itential Pre-Builts** group should appear. #### Activate the group Click **Edit Group** under **Actions**, uncheck **Inactive**, and click **Save**. #### Assign the group to a user In the sidebar, select **Users** and click the user you wish to apply the **Itential pre-built** group to. #### Add the group Click **Groups** on the main view of the page, select **Itential pre-builts**, and click **Save**. ## Uninstall a pre-built #### Open Admin Essentials Open **Admin Essentials** from the Home page or the Applications menu. #### Open pre-builts Select the **pre-builts** dropdown in the sidebar (left side of the screen). #### Select the repository Click the appropriate pre-built repository (e.g., **@itentialopensource**) dropdown in the sidebar. #### Select the pre-built A list of installed pre-builts will display. Select the pre-built you wish to uninstall. #### Uninstall On the **Details View** for the selected pre-built, click **Uninstall**. > How to install and uninstall pre-built automations in Admin Essentials, including setting up the Itential pre-builts group for first-time installations.
