# Download a pre-built

> How to download a pre-built automation file from the browse view or the details view in Admin Essentials.

The Itential Open Source Pre-Builts repository is no longer actively maintained. Those pre-builts have been certified up to Itential Platform 2023.2, but can still be imported to Platform 6. We recommend transitioning to [Projects](/itential-platform/studio/projects/overview) for the best experience.

There are two options for downloading a pre-built data file that can then be imported into an Itential Platform environment. The first option downloads the content directly from the Itential pre-built repository, and the second option provides the download from your locally installed system.

## Download from browse view

Downloading a pre-built from the **Browse View** pulls the data of the selected pre-built from its respective GitLab repository.

#### Open Admin Essentials

Open **Admin Essentials** from the Home page or the Applications menu.

#### Navigate to Pre-builts

Select the **Pre-builts** dropdown in the sidebar.

#### Click Browse

Click **Browse**. A list of available pre-builts will populate on the left side of the screen.

#### Download the pre-built

Each pre-built has a **Download** option in the bottom-right corner of the pre-built card. Click **Download**.

## Download from details view

Downloading a pre-built from the **Pre-built Details View** pulls the data of the selected pre-built from the Itential Platform environment's database (the installed copy of the pre-built).

#### Open Admin Essentials

Open **Admin Essentials** from the Home page or the Applications menu.

#### Navigate to the pre-built repository

Select the **Pre-builts** dropdown in the sidebar, then click the appropriate pre-built repository (for example, **@itentialopensource**) in the sidebar. A list of installed pre-builts will display.

#### Select the pre-built

Select the pre-built you wish to download.

#### Download

On the **Details View** for the selected pre-built, click **Download**.
