# Features variables

> Learn more about configurable environment variables that enable different features specific to Ansible, hostkeys, OpenTofu, and Python.

## GATEWAY\_FEATURES\_ANSIBLE\_ENABLED

Enables or disables all Ansible features. When you set this variable to `false`, the gateway disables the management of Ansible playbooks and the execution of Ansible services.

`GATEWAY_FEATURES_ANSIBLE_ENABLED`

## GATEWAY\_FEATURES\_HOSTKEYS\_ENABLED

Enables or disables the hostkeys feature. When you set this variable to `false`, the gateway disables the hostkeys managment commands.

## GATEWAY\_FEATURES\_MCP\_ENABLED

Gateway 5.5+

Enables or disables all FlowMCP Gateway features. `GATEWAY_FEATURES_MCP_ENABLED` defaults to `true`. MCP commands and endpoints are available without any additional configuration unless the flag has been explicitly disabled.
