Navigate to Insights
To access Insights:

Understanding access messages
"You do not have permission to access Insights"
This message indicates that your user account does not have the insights:view permission. Contact your Cloud Hub administrator to request permission.
"No data available"
If you can access Insights but see no data, verify:
- You have selected an environment with workflow executions
- Workflows have run during your selected time range
- You have permission to view the selected projects (when role-based access control is enabled)
Insights UI navigation
Insights provides workflow analytics through multiple pages:
- Summary Dashboard: Provides high-level platform health and ROI metrics on root jobs (end-to-end business operations) for executives and stakeholders.
- Workflows Overview: Provides comprehensive performance analysis across all workflows, helping builders identify issues and optimization opportunities.
- Workflow Details: Provides deep-dive analytics for individual workflows, enabling detailed troubleshooting and optimization.
Global filters
Global filters appear at the top of every Insights page and enable you to focus your analysis on specific contexts. Filter selections persist as you navigate within Insights and are stored in the page URL for bookmarking and sharing.
Environment selector
Select which Itential Platform environment to analyze (such as Development, Staging, or Production).
Options: All environments
Default: Production (if available), otherwise the first available environment
Use cases:
- Compare performance between development and production environments
- Analyze staging environment before promoting workflows to production
- Troubleshoot environment-specific performance issues
- Verify that workflows perform consistently across environments
Time range selector
Select the time period for analytics data. Jobs are counted based on their completion time, not start time. A job that started within your selected time range but completed after it will not appear in results.
Options:
- Last 7 days (7d)
- Last 30 days (30d) - Default
- Last 3 months (3mo)
- Last 6 months (6mo)
Use cases:
- Last 7 days: View recent trends and immediate performance
- Last 30 days: Analyze monthly performance patterns
- Last 3-6 months: Identify long-term trends and seasonal patterns
Percentage change context: When you select a time range, percentage change indicators (â–² â–¼) compare to the equivalent previous period. For example, "Last 30 days" compares to the 30 days immediately before.
Timezone: Times display in your local timezone.
Project filter
Filter analytics data to specific Studio projects.
Options: All projects containing workflows with execution data, plus "All Projects"
Default: All Projects
Use cases:
- Focus analysis on a specific team's workflows
- Compare performance across different project groups
- Isolate performance issues to a particular business unit or department
- Track adoption and usage by organizational division
Global workflows: Workflows not assigned to a specific Studio project are displayed as global workflows. Global workflows are visible to all Insights users and have no role-based access restrictions.
