Managing the Lifecycle of a Service (IOS) - Configuration Manager (Part 2)

We would like to go back to Configuration Manager and compare our backup from earlier to the configuration on our IOS device to see the new service port interface.

Step 1

From Configuration Manager, select the IOS device.

Step 2

Select the Backups tab.

Step 3

To compare the backup you created earlier in the training to the current configuration, select the Compare icon under Actions on the right.

Step 4

You are taken to the Comparison tab and prompted to choose a type of comparison, Live Config or Other Backup.  We would like to compare our backup to the live configuration, so we will select Live Config and then click Load Diff.

Step 5

Here you can see the comparison between the initial backup and the live configuration.  Scrolling down, you can see that the new service port interface was added and the configuration differences have been highlighted.
