Projects in Itential Cloud is a uniquely protected design space in Automation Studio where developers and network architects can collaborate to create workflows, forms, services and configuration templates to quickly develop, test, and publish them for production-ready environments.
To get started with Projects, access to the application must be set for user groups through RBAC in Itential Cloud.
For security reasons, the roles which enable the creation and management of Projects are not assigned to any users, by default. You must add the roles (see below) to a Group associated with the users who will manage Projects.
- Log in to https://hub.tools-dev.itential.io/groups and enter your Organization ID and then click Continue.
- Click the Sign In button for the Organization ID that's displayed and then enter your username and password and click Sign In.
- Select Groups from the Administration sidebar menu of Itential Cloud Portal and then click
users
in the Groups Table; the Roles settings window will display for that group. - Select the IAP tab and then select the appropriate Environment instance. Once the instance is selected, the application can be activated/deactivated per user group.
- Use the toggle to enable the
projects:delete
,projects:read
andprojects:write
roles. - Click Save to retain your settings.
- Logout of the Cloud Portal and re-login to fetch the new roles. Projects will display in the left sidebar menu.
