Golden Configuration (IOS) - Device Configuration

Next we will review the current Cisco IOS device configuration in Configuration Manager, which is the device we will be configuring during our use-case exercise.

Step 1 

From the IAP Dashboard, select Configuration Manager.

Step 2

Shown here are the devices that have been federated into IAP.  In this lab, we’ve simply named our device IOS.  Select the IOS device.  This is the device we will configure.

Step 3

The Device Status is online.  IAP does a quick test to confirm that the device is reachable when you select it.   Click the Load Configuration button.

 Step 4

The Load Configuration button executes the show running-config command on our target device, which displays the current running configuration of the device. This configuration will be used throughout our use-case.

 Step 5

Next, we will begin building our Golden Configuration.
