Pre-Built Resources Video
Step 1
From Automation Studio, expand the Workflows dropdown.
Step 2
Expand the Workflow Group for Assign Network and IP – Infoblox and select the Create Network Container – Infoblox workflow.
Step 3
In this workflow, you can see various task types. IAP has four task types: Termination, Automatic, Operational, and Manual. Let’s define these individually.
- Every workflow has Termination tasks to start and end the workflow. All other tasks are placed between the START and END termination tasks.
- The green tasks represent Automatic tasks. These tasks will execute without intervention.
- Next are Operational tasks, which are purple. Operational tasks are used to control workflows with conditional branches and loops, and to manipulate run time data.
- The fourth task type is Manual tasks. When used, manual tasks are grey and represent tasks that require human interaction.
Step 4
For our use-case, a network container has already been created, however this workflow could be incorporated through a Child Job task in the event a new network container needs to be created. Take some time to review the workflow and click Next when you are ready to proceed.
Step 5
This use-case will utilize a pre-built Transformation when building our workflow. From the Transformations menu select the Generate Reservation Message transformation.
Step 6
This Transformation will be used to format our data into the configuration needed by the View Data task of our workflow. Review the pre-built Transformation.
