# Validate a workflow

POST https://example.itential.io/workflow_engine/workflows/{id}/validate

Loads a stored workflow by id, runs deep validation, persists errors/warnings when they change, and returns \{ isValid, errors, warnings }.

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (basic auth, required) — Basic authentication of the form `Basic <base64(username:password)>`.

### Path parameters

- `id` (string, required) — The _id of the workflow to validate

## Response

### 200

Validation result; errors/warnings also persisted on the stored workflow when changed

- `isValid` (boolean, optional)
- `errors` (list of any, optional)
- `warnings` (list of any, optional)
