# Get inventory by identifier

GET https://example.itential.io/inventory_manager/v1/inventories/{identifier}

Returns a single inventory document by ID or name.

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (basic auth, required) — Basic authentication of the form `Basic <base64(username:password)>`.
