# Validate a template

POST https://example.itential.io/automation-studio/templates/validate
Content-Type: application/json

Validates an entire template without saving it. Covers the same checks that the UI performs. Returns every validation issue found rather than stopping at the first one.

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (basic auth, required) — Basic authentication of the form `Basic <base64(username:password)>`.

Validation result: \{ isValid, errors, warnings }

- `isValid` (boolean, optional) — Whether the template passed every deep-validation check.
- `errors` (list of AutomationStudioTemplatesValidatePostResponsesContentApplicationJsonSchemaErrorsItems, optional) — Errors found, each shaped \{ code, message, path }. Empty when isValid is true.
- `warnings` (list of AutomationStudioTemplatesValidatePostResponsesContentApplicationJsonSchemaWarningsItems, optional) — Non-blocking issues found, each shaped \{ code, message, path }.
