Enhanced Logging with JSON Output
We've implemented comprehensive logging enhancements with structured JSON output and complete documentation to help you configure, troubleshoot, and implement logging best practices.
Structured JSON Logging
Structured JSON logging is now available for Platform 2023.2 and 6.2+:
- New configuration parameters enable structured JSON output:
log_format_json,console_format_json, andsyslog_format_json. For more information, see Configure Logging. - Integration with log aggregation tools like Splunk, Datadog, and Elasticsearch without custom parsing.
- Automatic conversion of existing logging code. No code changes required.
- Enhanced security through context-specific filtering.
New Logging Documentation
Adds new guides for configuration, log levels, searching logs, developer best practices, and troubleshooting.
For more information, see the Platform logging documentation.
FIPS Compliance for NSO Adapter
Full support for FIPS-compliant SSH key algorithms has been added to the NSO adapter, ensuring secure connectivity on RHEL systems running in FIPS mode. This enhancement is critical for organizations operating in regulated or security-sensitive environments.
ServiceNow App 3.1.13
The Itential ServiceNow Application is now certified on the latest ServiceNow “Zurich” platform. This certification ensures ServiceNow administrators can confidently integrate with Itential Platform and run workflows directly from ServiceNow catalogs and flows.
Mock Data UI Improvements
Added mock data validation that verifies test data matches workflow task schemas before execution. The feature provides visual feedback in the Platform UI when mock data needs updates, tasks or transitions are missing, or schema mismatches occur.
