The Itential Open Source Pre-Builts repository is no longer actively maintained. Those Pre-Builts have been certified up to IAP 2023.2, but can still be imported to Platform 6. We recommend transitioning to Projects for the best experience.
Installing a Prebuilt
To install a pre-built:
- Open Admin Essentials from the Home page or the Applications menu.
- Select the Prebuilts dropdown in the sidebar (left-side of the screen).
- Click Browse.
- A list of available prebuilts will populate on the left-side of the screen.
- Select any prebuilt and click Install.
- If the prebuilt contains components that already exist on your system, you will be prompted to overwrite that content or cancel without overwriting.
If you are installing your first pre-built:
- After installing the prebuilt, go to Authorization → Groups.
- Click View List.
- Select Show Inactive.
- The Itential Prebuilts group should appear. Click Edit Group under Actions.
- Uncheck Inactive and click Save.
- In the sidebar, select Users
- Click the user you wish to apply the Itential Prebuilt group to.
- Click Groups (on the Main view of the page).
- Select Itential Pre-builts and click Save.
Uninstalling a Prebuilt
To uninstall a pre-built:
- Open Admin Essentials from the Home page or the Applications menu.
- Select the Prebuilts dropdown in the sidebar (left-side of the screen).
- Click the appropriate Prebuilt repository (e.g. @itentialopensource) dropdown in the sidebar (left-side of the screen).
- A list of installed prebuilts will display.
- Select the prebuilt you wish to uninstall.
- On the Details View for the prebuilt you have selected, click Uninstall.
